Toronto SEO Tips For Optimal Rankings

Posted by seo2010 under: Google Ranking Tips; Online Marketing; Ranking Factors; SEO; SEO Tips.

Getting higher search engine rankings can be a difficult thing to do especially if you don’t have the right knowledge about SEO.  Some people still believe that changing meta keywords will really help them attain higher rankings, when in fact Google really doesn’t even look at that anymore.  Although, it is still a good idea to optimize them, it’s never a good to spend too much time, with the exception of the title tag, and description tag.

More important than  meta tags and other on page elements, is link building.  Essentially, Google will rank your site higher for particular keyword phrases if you have a link pointing back to your site with a keyword rich anchor text.  However, it is important to note that not all links are considered equal, and Google frowns upon paid links, link farms, or anything else deceptive.  You should get your links from relevant high quality article directories, blogs, or other sites related to your niche.  The greater amount of links from high quality sites, and from a variety of different sites, the better rankings you will get.
